January 2014 – The Mushroom Project. My newest project is to grow fresh mushrooms in the basement.  The nutritional value alone makes this a worthy endeavor.  Required items are trays, composted manure and mushroom spores.   The trays and manure should be available at Lowe’s or Home Depot.  Button mushroom spores are available from Amazon, 500 seeded spores for $5.99 plus shipping.
