This sourdough oatmeal honey bread brings together the gentle tang of sourdough, the nutty goodness of oats, and the mellow sweetness of honey. Oats contribute whole-grain fiber, including beta-glucan, a soluble fiber known for its heart-health benefits. Sourdough fermentation offers benefits of its own, helping break down naturally occurring compounds that can limit the availability of minerals in grains.
Honey rounds out the flavor with a delicate floral sweetness that complements the sourdough’s tang without overpowering it. Whether toasted for breakfast, paired with a hearty soup, or enjoyed with a little butter, this loaf brings wholesome ingredients and satisfying homemade flavor to the table.
